The Third Year Advanced Diploma programme at VLBTC has been developed to provide students with anointed training in the skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary to heighten preparedness for the commencement of effective ministry labour. The programme has been designed through the collaborative efforts of ministers and lecturers with a proven track record of ministry. Their oversight of Third Year students will ensure progress and the vital growth necessary in leadership and kingdom building ministry. The need for a flexible tailored subject has been achieved with 5 ‘Major Streams’. These streams allow the student to select subjects that will benefit their chosen areas of ministry. Through the interview and enrolment process these streams may be further adjusted to meet the individual training needs of students. Studies are completed over four terms of the college year. Required Core and Elective subjects are completed in the first five weeks of each term while the remaining four weeks in each term are designated to the completion of the terms practicum (in field training). The practicum to be completed in each term will be dependent on the chosen major stream. In the study year each term will feature one practicum being composed of approximately 80 hours ‘In Field-Training’. Each term will see students sourcing reputable ministries for the opportunity to train under their supervision and assist in the work of the ministry. Students will be provided assistance in the sourcing and negotiation of these practicum opportunities. The process of practicum placement will be further explained through the student induction and orientation. The Faculty at VLBTC is excited about the Third Year course and its ongoing impact upon those who choose to further prepare for the call of God to kingdom labours. We pray Third Year will be your next step to fulfilling the Lord’s call on your life.
