Standards of Conduct Students are expected to behave at all times with courtesy and respect towards each other and the Victory Life Bible Training Centre teachers and staff. Students are undergoing training to be ambassadors of Christ and as such are expected to conduct themselves accordingly. They are expected to maintain a neat and clean appearance and a good attitude as they cheerfully comply with all VLBTC standards as outlined in the Student Handbook.
College Staff is committed to maintaining a college atmosphere that is free from discrimination and harassment and has in place a Discrimination and Harassment Policy in line with the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 and Affirmative Action Policy 1986. This covers aspects relating to sex discrimination, race, marital status, pregnancy, political conviction, religious conviction, impairment/disability, family responsibility or family status, age and sexual and/or racial harassment. Pastoral CareThe pastoral staff of VLBTC is responsible for the personal development of students and for their pastoral care, which includes their welfare and morale. The staff will be available to talk privately with individual students on short notice. Complaints ProcedureA confidential procedure is in place to handle any complaints and/or appeals which individual students might have relating to their life at Victory Life Bible Training Centre. This is fully explained in the Student Handbook. Appeal ProcessThe Bible Training Centre has an appeal procedure in place which contains the following elements: (a) talk with the assigned faculty member; (b) if unresolved, faculty member will refer to the Principal/ CEO (c) if necessary, external adjudication can be sought by mutual agreement Language, Literacy and NumeracyStudents with special needs should discuss their need with the interviewing staff member. Provision is made by teachers to assist each student with any difficulty they may have in this area. Social ActivitiesA student Social Committee, supported by a staff member, arranges regular social activities for the student body to provide fun and fellowship and a break from the normal routine. Accommodation & TransportAll local students are responsible for finding and providing their own housing and transportation. Interstate students may receive assistance in locating individual or group housing.
