Certificate IV in Christian Studies Those successfully completing the First Year will receive a Certificate IV in Christian Studies. The First Year subjects are foundational and concentrate on the development of Christian character and the formation in students of the knowledge, attitudes and disciplines that together make up a committed and victorious Christian life.
As a result of biblical teaching, practical training and individual counselling, students will grow in their knowledge, understanding and abilities, while learning to communicate their faith to others.
Diploma of Christian MinistryThe Second Year is built upon the foundation of the First Year with emphasis on the knowledge, skills and personal attitudes required for effective Christian witness in the marketplace, leadership ministry in a local church or in the call to five-fold ministry. Those successfully completing the Second Year will graduate with a Diploma of Christian Ministry. Advance Diploma of Christian MinistryThe Advance Diploma is an intensely practical course focusing on developing leadership skills and allowing students to tailor their training towards their ministry calling, whether five-fold or in the workplace. The four terms of training consist of classroom lectures and the completion of 380 hours of workplace practicum each term of the study year. Certificates and Diplomas will be awarded upon successful completion of the subjects and then presented at a graduation ceremony to be held once at the end of each year. Performance StandardsOnly those students reaching an acceptable standing in attendance, personal development, classroom work and practical application will graduate. It is the aim of Victory Life Bible Training Centre to provide personalised attention to each student to ensure any deficiencies can be remedied. AssessmentThe teaching staff will assess the personal development of each student through observation and interaction. The teaching faculty assess the student’s progress in studies on the basis of: (a) written assignments (b) tests and examinations (c) observation of student participation in both classroom and group activities. Assessment Appeal Procedure The Bible Training Centre appeal procedure shall contain the elements of: (a) talk with the assigned faculty member (b) refer to the Principal (c) if necessary, external advice and assessment.
AttendanceSeventy percent attendance is the minimum requirement in any subject. Local Church ParticipationTwo hours per week of practical participation in ministry within the student’s local church is a condition of enrolment.
